Animal Husbandry
Animals are tricky and can be a headache at times. In the 7 years we've had chickens and our short experience with goats we've learned a few tips and tricks. You''l find them here!
Basic Go To's:
Antibiotic ointment mixed with B&W ointment (burn and wound) mix half and half and apply to a cleaned out animal wound.
The B&W does say not to use on large open gaping wounds, but chickens aren't humans so we have used it on bad (like 5" by 4" wide gashes, like chicken ribs showing) and the chicken's (yes it's happened twice.) and they healed wonderfully!
B&W OINTMENT, WARNING THERE ARE SOME GROSSISH BURN PICTURES BEFORE YOU GET TO THE PURCHASE LINK)
Peroxide and water 1/2 and 1/2 wound cleanser
